Hailey Henderson - June

Hailey is a Seattle- and Portland-based performer, director, playwright and educator. She is excited to bring this powerful story to Portland after playing June in the National New Play Network’s Rolling World Premiere of Alabaster in 2022 (OCT). Recent regional credits include The Language of Angels, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Fefu and her Friends, and The Best of Everything. Henderson’s autobiographical one woman show, Blackout, debuted in July 2021 with a six-city tour on the West Coast and went on to play at colleges and universities in 2022. Blackout recently won the award for “Best Drama” at the United Solo Festival at Theatre Row in New York City in the spring of 2023.


 

Jerilynn Armstrong-Alice

Jerilyn (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist in Portland. She is honored to revisit this incredible story of resilience after playing Alice in the 2022 National New Play Network’s Rolling World Premiere at Oregon Contemporary Theatre. Recent theatrical credits include Colonialism is Terrible, but Phở Is Delicious (Oregon Contemporary Theatre) and Metaverse (Corrib Theatre). Feature film credits include Woe and #chadgetstheaxe. She performs improv locally as a core member on two teams at Kickstand Comedy (HONK and The Kickstand Cult), and performed recently on the HOLY SHIT IMPROV show, created by Los Angeles’ Upright Citizens Brigade. She is currently developing a semi-autobiographical play, Exhale, which debuted as a staged reading at the 2024 Fertile Ground Festival. Jasmine is delighted and grateful to be telling this beautiful story with an incredible company of artists. Some of her favorite acting credits include Jump, Twelfth Night, Intimate Apparel, and Doubt. 

 

Mikki Lipsey- Bib

Before Mikki moved west, she worked with many Boston area companies, including American Repertory Theatre, Vokes, Concord, and Hovey Players.

Here in Portland she performed in Portland Revels (last season as Moírín), with Original Practice Shakespeare Festival (since 2009) and has been on their board since 2017.  She played Tim Stapleton’s mother in his auto biographical piece Leaning on Everlasting Arms, worked with Philip Cuomo in PAC’s production of Big Love, portrayed a street woman in Bruce Hostetler’s Feral, and was a member of the award winning ensemble production of Adrienne Flagg’s Note to Self. She has appeared on TV in Grimm, Librarians,

Documentary Now!, and numerous episodes of Portlandia.

Mikki loves living in Mirabella Portland with her husband, Steve, midway between their two children and three grandchildren.  

 

Ness Zolan- Musician and sound designer

Ness is a proud dad, musician, composer, and public servant working to elevate the value of arts, culture, and events locally and around the world. Over the past two decades, Ness has produced award-winning live and virtual productions for the Kennedy Center, National Symphony Orchestra, and Eugene Symphony. He has consulted with the Arab-Jewish Youth Orchestra in Israel and has led workshops on arts entrepreneurship at UC Santa Cruz and University of Oregon. As a performer, Ness has toured in Central and South America with the Pan American Symphony Orchestra and regularly performs in The Tailors, a guitar/violin duo (and occasionally other sounds) in Portland, OR. Additional organizations Ness has worked with include the Alvin Ailey Dance Company, Ballet Hispanico, Washington National Opera, Lincoln Center, Hispanic Heritage Awards, NYC Ballet, Harlem School of the Arts, Oregon Symphony, IMG Artists, Columbia Artists Management, and a diverse array of dozens of musicians, dancers, actors, vocalists, and politicians ranging from Ellen Degeneres to Yo-Yo Ma to Esperanza Spalding to Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Ness was Legislative Director & Creative Economy Advisor for Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler and is currently the Events Navigator for Prosper Portland in Portland, OR. AUDREY CEFALY- PLAYWRIGHT

Cefaly is an alumna of the Playwrights' Arena cohort at Arena Stage, a recipient of the Walter E. Dakin Fellowship from the Sewanee Writers Conference, and a Dramatist Guild Foundation Traveling Master. She is published by Concord Theatricals, Smith & Kraus, and Applause Books. Cefaly's plays have been produced by Cincinnati Playhouse, Florida Studio, Florida Rep, City Theatre, Penobscot Theatre, Gulfshore Playhouse, Merrimack Rep, Signature Theatre, Barter Theatre, Vermont Stage, Oregon Contemporary Theatre, 16th Street Theater, Capital Stage, About Face, Kitchen Dog Theatre, Circle Theatre, Theatre Three, Aurora Theatre, Quotidian Theatre Company and University of Alabama at Birmingham. ​Her play Alabaster received an 11-city Rolling World Premiere, the largest in National New Play Network history. https://www.audreycefaly.com/

 

Willow jADe norton- producer & director

Willow is an Oregon-based theatre director, arts administrator, teacher and arts advocate focused on new work development and socially engaged art. Current project in development is How Many Others, a new play crafted from journals of Ukrainan Jewish Women in colaboration with Carnegie Mellon Professor and Playwright Kristi Good. Select special directing projects include The Cake, Marjorie Prime and Alabaster for Oregon Contemporary Theatre; LIFE, In the Next Room or the vibrator play, Constant Revolution and Turning Red, for Lane Community College; ¡Bocón!, RENT, and A Thousand Cranes for The Majestic Theatre. Willow is currently the Executive Director of The Alliance for Jewish Theatre, an international Jewish arts organization that promotes and preserves Jewish Theatre. Willow is a Co-Founder of Moderate Woo, a feminist storytelling collective, where she developed The Motherhood Project. Willow has received an Oregon Arts Commission Career Opportunity Grant, and a Lane Arts Council Project Grant. Willow is a certified Teaching Artist for Tectonic Theater Project's Moment Work technique. Willow is a Mom to two incredible humans- Brice & Binah.

 

Iris Roselinsky- Managing Director

Iris is thrilled to be involved with Alabaster. She loves being part of the independent creative community in Portland. In addition to Alabaster, Iris hosts the radio show Music Mosaic on Shadypines Radio.

 
 
 

amanda anderson- production manager

Amanda has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Technical Production from Western Oregon University. She has experience in Stage Management, Property Design, Scenic Painting, and Marketing. She also had a London Summer Internship with PW Productions, a West End Company, which developed many skills in technical areas.

 

Hayley Lamsma-stage manager

Hayley (she/they) has been Stage Managing varying productions in Portland and the surrounding area for the last two years and is thrilled to be working with the cast and crew of Alabaster. Previous credits include Almost Maine, Blood Wedding, Twelfth Night, Forbidden Fruit, Oliver! The Musical, Our Town, and Much Ado About Nothing. She has a bachelor's degree in Theatre and Writing from George Fox University and has worked with companies including Shaking the Tree, Penguin Productions, Gather Repertory, and Wild Goose Repertory in both SM and ASM roles. While Stage Management has their heart, they also have varying props design credits. 

 

Scott cannon-SET DESIGNER & MASTER CARPENTER

Scott was born and raised in Texas, but is now a happy Oregonian. He's a multi-disciplined artist, writer, musician and woodworker who likes nothing more than long walks through Portland neighborhoods, hanging out with his partner and daughter, and drinking coffee. 

 

Amelia Beiderwell-Costume Designer

Amelia is grateful to share her passion for costume within the landscape of Alabaster. For over 20 years, Amelia has delighted in telling story within the stitches of cloth and costume for stage and screen. She loves the transformative power costume creates with its immersive ability to transcend our experience from the stories origin of the page, to the world within the stage. Amelia received her BFA in Fiber from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) 2011 in Baltimore, MD. She has worked from coast-to-coast on numerous theatrical productions, opera and film. Her work has been seen in shows in her native Eugene, OR with Eugene Opera, Lane Community College, University of Oregon, as well as MICA, Johns Hopkins University and Midnight Crew Studios. Shows include Little Women, Much Ado About Nothing, Tiebele and Hurmizah, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hot L Baltimore, Othello and Witch’s Brew.

 

Abby Jaquin- lighting designer

Abby is a technician and designer in the Portland area. They find themselves most commonly as a technician and designer, but feel drawn to performance and music just as much. They primarily work as an electrician and stagehand for companies including PETE, PICA, Hand2Mouth, Portland Center Stage, and others, but their biggest passion is as a lighting designer, which they did throughout college, and continue to do professionally, including designing lights for ‘Time and Time Again’ and ‘Piercing the Veil’. They are excited to continue exploring performance and devising new works through the next year.

Cris KNutson- props designer/poster designer/ PROduction Associate

Cris is a visual artist, writer, director, teacher, and world traveler. With nearly two decades living and working within the hustle and bustle of New York City, she’s ready to reconnect with her PNW roots, family, and friends, while creating the time and space to think and breathe. With Alabaster, she returns to the theatre after a four year hiatus and is delighted to be working with Willow Jade Norton and her amazing team.

LISA HEADINGS- WORKSHOP LEADER

Lisa Headings is an expressive arts therapist and Oregon registered associate in Portland. Her practice (Express Your Path Creative Counseling & Workshops) offers telehealth therapy sessions to adults throughout the state. She specializes in anxiety, self-esteem, and personal growth. Expressive arts therapy focuses on using creative or expressive tools such as sound, image-making, movement and creative writing to help people connect to their inner wisdom. ADA GOLDBERG- WORKSHOP LEADER

Ada Goldberg (She/Her) is a passionate practitioner of the Healing Arts native to Oregon. She inspires people with offerings, which include; workshops, yoga, reiki, therapy, ceremony, music, fire performance, writing, business startup, and community building. Being an energetic beacon of love and support, Ada is a multi talented entrepreneur, she runs a private practice called Ada Goldberg Wellness based in Eugene Oregon, and is the founder of Trust The Balance, a nonprofit promoting sustainable community building and education. She is also a mother and has a deep affinity for working with children. 

As a Community Director, Project Organizer, Festival Coordinator, Crisis Counselor, Wellness Practitioner, Non-profit Founder, and education enthusiast she has worked with numerous organizations including White Bird Clinic, Burningman, American Federation of Teachers, Symbiosis Oregon Eclipse Festival, Oregon Country Fair, Beloved, Lotus Seed, AFT- Healthcare, Great Days Early Education, and Full Lotus Yoga Studio. As a dedicated intuitive healer, her mission is to facilitate healing on physical, emotional, and energetic levels.
